Christmas Day Comes to a Close.

Rena, Basil and Eva.

We watched movies.
"Tortured" Basil with Mamma Mia!
and a Bollywood flick,
Bride and Prejudice.

But he enjoyed the cheesy movie,
Do You Wanna Dance?,
about a non-Greek dancer set to do
community service at a Greek church
with a hockey-lovin' Priest.

Lucas and Reese

Reese and Lucas.
Born four days apart.

I think the first photo of them together
was taken when they were maybe a week or two old.

Sigh.  They're growing too fast.

Basil's Famous Chili

Yum!

Gran's Scavenger Hunt

This tradition started years ago,
when Gran left a clue to where she put the boys'
Christmas gift in an ornament on our tree.
Over the years, it has grown into
a full-fledged hunt, including clue-solving and
song and poem composing.

Found it!
It's a foot-controlled piano!

Cappuccino came to check it out...

and played a few notes before she wandered off.

Thanks, Gran!

Christmas Morning 2009

Basil couldn't find the tape (although, of course, it was
in the Christmas supply basket in the Family Room.)
He wrapped this gift for Sammy in plastic wrap.

Stockings

Wonderful, thoughtful, filled stockings.

Christmas Eve 2009

This was the first Christmas that our sons
did not have their Gran here.
(Missed you!)
She went to Wisconsin to spend time with Tracey
and the other grandkids and relatives who are there.

We decided not to set a formal table, like we
usually do on Christmas Eve,
but we still had lots of delicious food.

And tasty treats.  We baked, of course.

We also have wonderful friends and neighbors
who generously drop by with goodies.

Lots of goodies. (This isn't all of it!)

Nouna Eva was here.
I love this photo with her godson.

Kala Christouyenna!
